HOW THEY’RE MADE

We started Toxic as an answer to tired, unimaginative, corporate-looking bags with an aim of creating products that are designed and manufactured to the highest standards, and stand out from the norm.

CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING

We aim to create bags that have excellent build quality and a premium feel, and are still made in an ethical way. Here are some of the ways we achieve that.

TESSELLATING PATTERNS

We use tessellation when the fabrics are being cut to ensure the minimum of waste. Fabric cut-offs are shredded and recycled for re-use.

REDUCING PLASTIC WASTE

We use the bare-minimum of plastic content in our bags, and we use 100% recycled ocean plastics for the protective shipping bag, which can itself be recycled.

WORKING CONDITIONS

We require that the working conditions in our partner factories provide the staff with the correct tools and safety equipment to do their jobs, and that the workers are treated with respect.

INNOVATION & DESIGN

Our camera bags are designed for photographers from all walks of life. We design bags to handle the rigours of professional use, and provide innovative organisation and storage.

FROG POCKET

There will be times when you’re out taking photos when the weather will turn. With this in mind we created the Frog Pocket – a water-resistant and sealed pocket space inside the camera bag, accessible from the bag’s exterior, where you can stash wet gear and keep it separate from your expensive kit. In the worst weather, use it to stow your camera.

POCKET DIVIDERS

As photographers we know that there are myriad small extras that you need to carry and organise – cables, lens wipes, filters etc. To help keep all of these small items organised and avoid cable-tangle we’ve added in-built pockets on to the small and medium dividers in our bags.

UNIQUE FABRICS

Our jacquard fabric is unique to us, and is based on a vintage map of Stagsden, where we’re based. The unusual pattern and the way that the fabric is cut means that every bag is totally unique. Our fabrics are treated to make them resistant to liquids.
